An agreement will be sent according to the details provided in the signatory page. 

Once an agreement is sent it is really important that providers review the agreement and decide if they want to move forward with all tiers of the agreement. 

1. Items of note: This agreement opts the provider into all lines of business, Commercial, Government and Work Comp. 

2. Medicaid and Medicare plans with BC have some special factors to consider. 

   1. Authorization requirements- providers that see Medicaid and Medicare Advantage patients are required to get prior authorization for visits. 

   2. Risk adjustment audits- providers that see Medicare Advantage patients will be required to submit medical records for every patient, each year. These requests come in bulk and are labor intensive depending on the volume of patients. 

   3. This tier of the contract did not receive the raise; however, it is the costliest population to treat due to the above extra requirements. 

   4. Only you can determine if you can shoulder this extra admin burden for $75/visit.  ONLY YOU can make the determination if you should opt out of these federal plans.  If you wish to do so you will have to make a specific request.
